The Uganda national beach soccer team, the Sand Cranes, officially entered residential training camp on Sunday, May 25, 2025, ahead of the upcoming CECAFA Beach Soccer Championship scheduled to take place from June 6 to 11 in Mombasa, Kenya.
The 22-man squad reported to FUFA House in Mengo at 10:00 AM before proceeding to the Bamboo Gardens Beach Soccer Arena in Kasanje for intensive preparations.
This phase of training is intended to sharpen the team’s tactical and physical readiness ahead of the regional competition.
Head coach Arch Rica Byaruhanga is leading the technical team, with support from assistant coaches Akabwai Geofrey and Baker Lukooya.
