The Ugandan striker showed sharp instincts in the box, converting a key chance early to calm nerves at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
It wasn’t a vintage Simba performance, but Mukwala’s finish was enough to get them over the line.
The result keeps Simba just a point behind leaders Yanga heading into the Kariakoo Derby that will decide the title.
While Yanga cruised to a 5-0 thrashing of Dodoma Jiji, Simba had to grind out their win, leaning on Mukwala’s clinical edge.
