Ronaldo Nears New Al-Nassr Deal

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly close to signing a two-year contract extension with Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, according to Saudi sources.

The 40-year-old Portugal captain’s current deal was set to expire at the end of June.

Despite earlier social media posts from Ronaldo suggesting a departure and speculation linking him to the Club World Cup following Al-Nassr’s failure to qualify, he turned down offers from participating teams.

Having recently won the UEFA Nations League with Portugal, Ronaldo appears to have chosen to remain in Saudi Arabia, with reports also suggesting he’s considering sports investments in the region.

Since joining Al-Nassr in January 2023 after leaving Manchester United, Ronaldo has scored 99 goals in 111 appearances, including a league-leading 35 goals last season.

The news follows Al-Nassr’s recent decision to part ways with manager Stefano Pioli.
