Uganda Premier League champions Vipers have begun revamping their squad ahead of next season’s CAF Champions League, confirming the signing of Liberian forward Yallah on a two-year deal.
Yallah arrives from Liberian top-flight side Fassell Football Club, which he joined last July.
The attacker has also played for Mozambican outfit Associa Black Bull FC and fellow Liberian side Muscat FC, adding valuable international experience to the Venoms’ frontline.
The Kitende-based club isn’t stopping there. They’ve reached an agreement with NEC midfielder Enock Ssebaggala and are finalising contract extensions for club captain Milton Karisa and experienced defender Patrick Mbowa.
Vipers are also eyeing changes to their technical bench.
Sources close to the club suggest a foreign head coach is being considered to lead their CAF Champions League campaign.
Former Vipers boss Roberto Oliveira Goncalves, who previously led the club to domestic and continental success, and Serbian tactician Dusan Stojanovic are both being evaluated.
Last season, Vipers clinched their second Uganda Cup title under the guidance of co-coaches John “Ayala” Luyinda and Fred Muhumuza.
While the pair delivered silverware, the club now appears to be aiming higher with an eye on continental glory.
