Paris Saint-Germain delivered a stunning 4-0 thrashing of Real Madrid in the FIFA Club World Cup semi-finals, securing their spot in Sunday’s final against Chelsea.
The match was effectively decided within 24 minutes.
Fabián Ruiz opened the scoring in the sixth minute, followed quickly by a Ousmane Dembélé goal three minutes later.
Ruiz then netted his second in the 24th minute after brilliant link-up play. Gonçalo Ramos added a late fourth, capping a dominant display by Luis Enrique’s side.
This emphatic victory highlights PSG’s resurgence since Kylian Mbappé’s departure to Madrid a year ago.
While Mbappé’s Real Madrid ends the season trophyless, PSG is now vying for their fourth trophy of 2025.
Their recent form is formidable, including a 5-0 Champions League final win over Inter Milan and strong victories against Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich.
The game also marked an emotional farewell for Real Madrid legend Luka Modric, making his 597th and final appearance for the club before joining AC Milan.
PSG now faces Chelsea in the final on Sunday.
