Lugazi have completed the signing of attacking midfielder Solomon Ali Okwalinga from Kitara FC on a two-year deal that runs until July 2027.
The move sees Okwalinga join the club as their fifth signing of the current transfer window, adding proven experience and attacking creativity to the squad.
He follows Dauson Mafumu, Paul Busolo, Yusuf Mafabi and Owachgiu Edrine Junior through the door at the Lugazi FC Stadium.
Okwalinga, has been a familiar name in Ugandan football for over a decade.
He first rose to prominence at Synergy FC between 2013 and 2017 before earning a move to Mbarara City, where his breakout campaign in the 2017/18 season earned him a transfer to KCCA FC.
While at Lugogo, he helped the club lift the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
Spells at Onduparaka and a second stint at Mbarara City followed, before he joined Kitara FC in 2023.
His time in Hoima ended on a high note after he scored the title-clinching goal against NEC FC in the 2024 Stanbic Uganda Cup final at Wankulukuku, securing his second winners’ medal in the competition.
Last season, Okwalinga contributed five assists and one goal for Kitara in the league.
