With the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 less than two weeks away, CAF General Secretary Véron Mosengo-Omba has praised the readiness of host nations Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
During his visit to Kenya on Monday, July 21, 2025, Mosengo-Omba inspected venues and met with the Local Organizing Committee.
He’s also headed to Tanzania, which hosts the opening match on August 2.
“So much work and progress has been made by the three countries… We no longer have questions of the state of readiness,” Mosengo-Omba stated, highlighting the significant renovations at Nairobi’s Kasarani Stadium, set to host the Final on August 30.
All Group A matches will be held in Kenya at Kasarani and Nyayo Stadiums.
Mosengo-Omba was joined by Nicholas Musonye, Chairman of the LOC, Harold Ndege, FKF General Secretary, and Evans Achoki from the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports.
