18-year-old Canadian wildcard Victoria Mboko has defeated former Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina to reach the Canadian Open final.
Mboko, ranked 85th in the world, battled back from a set down and saved a match point to win 1-6, 7-5, 7-6 (7-4).
Mboko’s remarkable run has seen her defeat Coco Gauff and Sofia Kenin. She will face former world number one Naomi Osaka in the final.
In the men’s tournament in Toronto, Karen Khachanov defeated Alexander Zverev 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (7-4). He will face Ben Shelton in the final.
