Alexander Isak is reportedly adamant his Newcastle career is finished, even if his proposed move to Liverpool collapses.
The Swedish striker has not featured in any of Newcastle’s pre-season matches, and it’s believed his relationship with the club’s hierarchy has reached an all-time low.
The dispute reportedly stems from contract discussions last summer, which Isak interpreted as a sign his time at the club was ending.
Liverpool’s initial £110 million bid for the forward was rejected, but a fee closer to £150 million is thought to be enough to tempt Newcastle.
However, the club is unlikely to sell unless it can secure a suitable replacement before the transfer window closes.
