Newcastle United have signed midfielder Jacob Ramsey from Aston Villa for £40 million on a five-year contract.
The 24-year-old is the Magpies’ fourth summer addition.
“This is a big move for me, but as soon as I knew the gaffer was interested… it didn’t take much time to decide,” Ramsey said.
Newcastle manager Eddie Howe called Ramsey “a fantastic addition” who is “young and hungry to develop.”
Ramsey could debut on August 25 against Liverpool at St James’ Park.
