Tottenham Hotspur secured a 2-0 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, maintaining their perfect start to the Premier League season.
Goals from Brennan Johnson and João Palhinha sealed the win, handing new Spurs manager Thomas Frank his second consecutive victory.
Spurs took the lead in the 35th minute with a quick breakaway, as Richarlison’s cross was converted by Johnson.
Just before halftime, Palhinha doubled the lead, capitalizing on a mistake by City’s goalkeeper James Trafford.
The result marks City’s first home defeat of the campaign and continues their manager Pep Guardiola’s difficult record against the north London club.
