In a display of dominant form, top seed Jannik Sinner defeated fellow Italian Lorenzo Musetti 6-1, 6-4, 6-2 to advance to the US Open semifinals.
Sinner, who has won the Australian Open and Wimbledon this year, extended his hard-court Grand Slam winning streak to 26 matches.
He will face Felix Auger-Aliassime, who battled for over four hours to defeat Australia’s Alex de Minaur 4-6, 7-6 (9-7), 7-5, 7-6 (7-4).
The Canadian will now compete in his first major semifinal since 2021.
