SC Villa and KCCA will renew their rivalry on Friday evening when the two sides meet in the return leg of the FUFA Super 8 quarterfinals at FUFA Kadiba Stadium in Mengo.
Villa carry a 2-1 advantage from the first leg at Lugogo, where an own goal from Peter Magambo and a finish by Andrew Otim gave them control before Sammy Ssebaduka pulled one back for KCCA. The match also doubled as Brian Ssenyondo’s debut as KCCA head coach, ending in defeat.
The decisive leg under Kadiba’s floodlights offers contrasting missions. Villa will look to see out the tie and confirm their place in the semifinals, while KCCA must overturn the deficit to keep alive their pursuit of the preseason trophy.
Elsewhere, URA FC sealed a semifinal berth after eliminating Kitara FC 2-1 on aggregate. The Tax Collectors were held to a goalless draw at Nakivubo’s Hamz Stadium but advanced thanks to their first-leg advantage.
The FUFA Super 8 pits last season’s top eight Uganda Premier League sides against each other, serving as a competitive build-up ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
