Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is under intense pressure after the club’s worst start to a season in 33 years.
Following a 3-0 derby loss to Manchester City, United has collected just four points from four Premier League games.
The defeat adds to the scrutiny on Amorim, who has only won eight league games since taking charge last November.
Despite the club’s poor form and a 15th-place finish last season, United has no immediate plans to sack him. However, a source close to the manager admits his position is “not under genuine threat,” which is “incredible.”
Amorim remains committed to his 3-4-3 formation, stating in a post-match press conference, “I am not going to change. When I want to change my philosophy… you have to change the man.” He insisted he is suffering more than the fans and will “do my best” as long as he’s in charge.
The derby loss highlighted the gap between the two clubs and raised new questions about players like goalkeeper Altay Bayindir, while City’s new signing, Gianluigi Donnarumma, earned praise for a key save.
