Police have sent a strong message of intent ahead of the new Uganda Premier League campaign by unveiling striker Charles Bbaale and midfield orchestrator Said Kyeyune as their latest recruits.
The club, who endured a difficult 2024/25 season that ended with a disappointing 11th-place finish, are looking to turn the page under head coach Matia Lule. The arrival of two proven performers is seen as a decisive step towards transforming their fortunes.
Bbaale, just 24, returns to Ugandan football with his reputation firmly established. The former SC Villa forward sharpened his instincts at Gor Mahia in Kenya and Rayon Sport in Rwanda, making him one of the more experienced young strikers in the region.
Renowned for his pace, physicality, and hunger for goals, he has been tasked with leading the line and breathing life into a Police attack that often looked blunt last term.
Kyeyune, meanwhile, injects know-how and composure into the midfield engine room. The former Express FC schemer has seen it all in the Ugandan top flight, having also donned the colours of URA and Proline, while a spell at Al-Merrikh (Sudan) further broadened his horizons.
Add to that his appearances for the Uganda Cranes, and Police now boast a player capable of dictating tempo, creating chances, and guiding the younger members of the squad.
Both men have committed to long-term deals running until 2027, joining earlier signings Richard Matovu and Deus Bukenya in what is shaping up to be a busy transfer window for the Cops.
For a club whose solitary league triumph dates back to 2005, the ambition is clear—climb the table, restore pride, and give their supporters something to rally behind.
