Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta confirmed that he has resolved his recent public dispute with former teammate Wilfried Zaha, stating simply, “Everything is good.”
The issue arose after Mateta’s comments in an interview suggested Zaha, who now plays for Charlotte FC on loan from Galatasaray, had laughed at his ambition to play for France.
Zaha denied the claim, citing a misinterpretation.
The 28-year-old Mateta is currently in exceptional form, having scored a hat-trick in Palace’s recent 3-3 draw with Bournemouth, and sitting joint-third in the Premier League scoring charts with five goals in eight games.
Mateta also recently earned and scored on his senior France debut.
Mateta, whose contract runs until 2027, stated his focus is purely on the upcoming Conference League clash with AEK Larnaca, not on contract talks.
