Uganda has named a 39-member team to represent the country at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games, set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from November 7, 2025.
The delegation features athletes across seven disciplines — boxing, table tennis, aquatics, athletics, wrestling, weightlifting, and para-powerlifting — as Uganda looks to build on its strong showing at the previous edition.
At the last Games, Team Uganda claimed 11 medals, including 2 gold, 6 silver, and 3 bronze, marking one of the country’s best performances on the continental stage.
Officials say the team is determined to maintain that momentum and return with an even better tally.
The athletes will depart in three batches, with the first group scheduled to leave on November 2 ahead of the opening ceremony in Riyadh.
This will be Uganda’s sixth appearance at the Islamic Solidarity Games, and the team’s management has expressed confidence that the athletes will make the nation proud once again.
