Switzerland secured their spot at the 2026 World Cup with a 1-1 draw against Kosovo in Pristina, maintaining an unbeaten record in their Group B qualifying campaign.
The Swiss took the lead immediately after a flat first half, with Ruben Vargas scoring in the 47th minute, assisted by Djibril Sow.
Kosovo equalised in the 74th minute when Florent Muslija fired a stunning curled strike into the top corner.
Despite late pressure from the hosts, Switzerland’s goalkeeper Gregor Kobel held firm to preserve the point.
The result means Switzerland finishes top of Group B with 14 points, securing automatic qualification. Kosovo finished second with 11 points and will advance to the European play-offs in March.
