Phil Foden scored twice, including a dramatic injury-time winner, as Manchester City narrowly defeated a defiant Leeds United 3-2 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
City surged into a 2-0 lead through Foden (1′) and Josko Gvardiol (25′). However, a tactical change galvanized the visitors after the break.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin (49′) and Lukas Nmecha (68′ penalty) sensationally leveled the score, temporarily raising hopes of an upset.
But Foden delivered the decisive blow in the 91st minute, securing all three points.
The result moves Manchester City four points behind leaders Arsenal in second place, while Leeds suffered their sixth defeat in seven matches despite a spirited comeback.
