Dani Olmo scored twice as Barcelona came from behind to defeat Alavés 3-1 at the Spotify Camp Nou on Saturday, sending them temporarily to the top of the La Liga table.
Alavés shocked the hosts with a first-minute goal from Pablo Ibáñez. However, Barcelona responded quickly, with Lamine Yamal equalizing in the 8th minute after an assist from Robert Lewandowski.
Olmo put Hansi Flick’s side ahead in the 26th minute and then sealed the victory with a late stoppage-time goal (90’+3), securing the 3-1 win.
The result gives Barcelona a two-point lead at the summit, pending rivals Real Madrid’s match on Sunday. Barcelona will next host Atletico Madrid in a league match on Tuesday, December 2.
