Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has confirmed that Rasmus Hojlund’s permanent transfer from Manchester United is now a “formality.”
The 22-year-old striker has flourished since joining the Serie A side on a season-long loan, scoring nine goals—including two in Sunday’s 2-0 win over Cremonese.
Napoli holds a £38m obligation to buy the Dane, provided they qualify for the Champions League.
Antonio Conte’s side currently sits third in the table.
Hojlund, who struggled at Old Trafford following a £72m move from Atalanta in 2023, appears settled in Italy.
After recently winning the Italian Super Cup, he described his move to Napoli as a “great decision.”
“The player considers himself a Napoli player, and the same goes for us,” Manna told Corriere dello Sport. “This is extremely important.”
