Platinum Credit Heathens have elected a new Executive Committee following club elections held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Kyadondo Rugby Club.
Desire Derekford Mugumisa was voted in as Chairman after securing 66 votes, beating Daniel Rweyora who polled 43 in the only contested race of the day.
Several key positions were filled unopposed, reflecting broad consensus among members.
Emmanuel Muhangi was confirmed as Secretary, Martin Namutso as Treasurer, while Lucy Ssuubi was elected Executive Committee Member in charge of Media, Commercial and Advertisement, a role expected to lead the club’s communication, sponsorship and fan engagement efforts.
The club also confirmed Nobert Sexton Okeny as Club Captain, extending his leadership beyond the field and into the wider administrative setup.
With the new leadership structure now in place, Heathens turn their attention to preparations for the 2026 season.
Expectations will be high for the incoming committee to protect the club’s winning culture and build on a legacy established at Kyadondo over more than two decades.
Heathens Rugby Football Club is one of Uganda’s most successful rugby institutions, boasting 17 Rugby Premiership titles, 14 Uganda Cup titles and 12 National Sevens Series crowns.
