For nearly two years, St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende has stood not merely as a venue, but as a citadel of conquest.

Vipers SC have transformed their home turf into an arena of unyielding dominance, going 31 domestic matches without defeat since April 2024.

Within that imperious sequence, the Venoms have amassed 25 victories while conceding just six draws, a staggering return that underscores authority, consistency, and an unshakeable competitive edge.

This season has only reinforced that supremacy. On the pitch, Vipers remain unbeaten in 15 Uganda Premier League encounters, registering 11 wins and four stalemates. Their command has been built on tactical precision, attacking fluency, and an unrelenting mentality that refuses compromise.

Even an administrative decision that trimmed three points from their tally has failed to dent the aura that surrounds Kitende. The Venoms continue to dictate the tempo of the title race, their dominance rooted firmly in performances rather than paperwork.

When NEC arrive for Tuesday night’s clash, they step into a ground where visiting ambitions have routinely dissolved under the weight of Vipers’ authority. The reverse fixture at Lugogo ended 1-1, but the narrative at Kitende has consistently favored the hosts.

Last season, the champions made light work of the Diehards, beating them 3-1, courtesy of Hillary Mukundane, Allan Okello and Isaac Ogwang, with old-boy Paul Mucureezi netting the visitors’ consolation.

In the preceding campaign at the same ground, it was an even more dominant performance for the hosts, as they won 4-1, thanks to Yunus Sentamu and a Fumador Asiwome hat-trick.

Creative ingenuity will once again flow through Odili Chukwuma, Karim Watambala, Milton Karisa, and Usama Arafat, a dynamic quartet tasked with orchestrating the attacking symphony that has defined Vipers’ home brilliance.

While it won’t be a walk in the park for Vipers, their objective remains clear: extend the reign, preserve the fortress, and reaffirm why St. Mary’s Stadium remains the most imposing stronghold in Ugandan football.
