The World Is Coming: 100 Days Until FIFA World Cup 2026

With just 100 days remaining until the world’s greatest sporting spectacle begins, excitement is reaching new heights across North America.

The countdown to the FIFA World Cup 2026 has officially entered its final stretch, and to mark the milestone, FIFA has unveiled the Official Tournament Poster, completing the tournament’s iconic poster collection.

From 11 June to 19 July 2026, Canada, Mexico and the United States will welcome the world for a historic edition of the global showpiece.

The tournament will span a record-breaking 104 matches, kicking off at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City before culminating at MetLife Stadium, the New York New Jersey Stadium, for the final.

A Poster That Unites a Continent

The Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Tournament Poster is a vibrant collage-style composition centred around a footballer in motion, a powerful symbol of the game’s universal language and its unmatched ability to unite cultures and communities across the globe.

For the first time in FIFA World Cup™ history, three artists from the host nations collaborated on the official tournament artwork: Canadian artist Carson Ting. Mexican artist Minerva GM. American artist Hank Willis Thomas.

Together, their distinctive creative styles merge into a single, dynamic design that reflects unity, diversity and shared passion, the very essence of the 2026 tournament.

The piece also serves as the final chapter in the FIFA World Cup 2026 poster collection, complementing the 16 Official Host City Posters unveiled last year.

A Historic Tournament Awaits

The 2026 edition promises to be the most inclusive and expansive FIFA World Cup ever staged.

With 104 matches across three host nations, it will redefine the scale of the competition.

Speaking on the milestone, Gianni Infantino said:

“In 100 days, FIFA will welcome the world to North America to witness the greatest show on earth. The Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Tournament Poster captures the energy, diversity and shared passion that will define the most inclusive edition of the tournament in history. From kick-off to the final whistle, billions of fans, in stadiums and across every continent, will experience moments that go beyond football, uniting cultures and celebrating unity on a truly global stage.”

The Road to 48

As the countdown hits 100 days, 42 teams have already secured qualification for the tournament, including four debut nations: Cabo Verde, Curaçao, Jordan and Uzbekistan.

Six final places remain, with the decisive FIFA World Cup 2026, Play-Off Tournament and European play-offs set to take place during the upcoming Men’s International Match Calendar window from 23–31 March.

The full 48-team line-up will soon be complete, setting the stage for an unprecedented celebration of global football.

Tickets and Hospitality

Fans eager to be part of history will have further opportunities to secure their seats when the Last-Minute Sales phase opens in April.

During this period, tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis through the end of the competition.

Supporters seeking an elevated matchday experience can already purchase hospitality packages, which include match tickets and premium services.

A Celebration Beyond Football

More than just a tournament, the FIFA World Cup 2026 represents a celebration of unity across borders, a shared experience that will bring billions together across continents, cultures and communities.

With 100 days to go, the Official Tournament Poster stands as a powerful visual reminder: the world is coming to North America, and the countdown to history has begun.
