The Uganda Zurkhaneh and Wushu Association has held a consultative meeting with officials from the National Council of Sports to seek guidance on implementing provisions under the country’s new sports law.
The engagement focused on helping the association understand and align its operations with the requirements of the National Sports Law 2023, which governs the administration and regulation of sports federations in Uganda.
During the meeting, NCS officials provided guidance on compliance procedures, governance structures, and operational standards required under the new legal framework. Both parties described the discussions as productive and emphasized the need for cooperation to strengthen sports administration in the country.
The chairman of the Uganda Zurkhaneh and Wushu Association welcomed the guidance from the council and reaffirmed the association’s commitment to implementing the directives issued during the meeting.
The association also pledged to work closely with the National Council of Sports to ensure full compliance with the guidelines and regulations outlined in the National Sports Law 2023.
