LaLiga has announced its first-ever Retro Matchday, set for the weekend of 10–13 April 2026.
In an unprecedented move for European football, clubs will take to the pitch wearing kits inspired by the 70s, 80s, and 90s, blending historic legacy with modern streetwear trends.
Clubs will debut specially designed kits featuring historic crests and vintage typography, reinterpreted for today’s “retro-core” fashion movement.
The experience goes beyond jerseys, featuring an exclusive official match ball, retro-style television broadcast graphics, and themed stadium activations.
The collection will officially launch on 19 March during a high-profile runway show at the Palacio Fernán Núñez as part of Madrid Fashion Week.
Part of the “42 legacies, 42 ways of winning” campaign, the initiative aims to turn football history into a global lifestyle trend.
By bridging the gap between the stadium and the street, LaLiga is positioning itself as a cultural leader where sport and fashion coexist.
