Action in the 2026 National Basketball League continues tonight with six fixtures lined up across Lugogo, Kira, and Naalya, as teams chase momentum in both the men’s and women’s competitions.
The spotlight falls on the Lugogo Indoor Arena where two key games will be broadcast live on NBS Sport and AfroMobile.
The evening begins with the women’s contest between KIU Rangers and Victoria She Crocs at 7 PM, live on NBS Sport 2 which airs exclusively on AfroMobile.
KIU Rangers enter the game placed 10th on the table after five games with two wins and three losses.
The Rangers opened the campaign with consecutive victories against Nabisunsa and Angels but have since slipped into a three-game losing run. Defeats against Pearl Queens, UCU Lady Canons, and JT Lady Jaguars have slowed their progress, with the latest setback coming in an 80-47 loss against the Jaguars.
Captain Sharon Kirabo leads the Rangers’ offensive effort with 75 points this season, averaging 15 points per game, and also holds 20 assists at an average of four per game.
Shooting guard Ines Kanyamuneza, who has added 64 points at 12.8 per game while contributing 18 assists at an average of 3.8 per game, will also be crutial in KIU’s attempt to return to winning ways.
Victoria She Crocs, on the other hand arrive in stronger form. The side sits second on the standings after seven games with four wins and three losses.
Their latest result produced a 56-42 victory against bottom placed Angels following consecutive defeats against KCCA Leopards and UCU Lady Canons.
Grant Generous leads the She Crocs with 68 points, averaging 9.7 per game while also providing 16 assists, and Bisoboka Naluyima adds 59 points at 8.4 per game and leads the playmaking with 36 assists, an average of 5.1 per game.
The duo produced a notable display on Valentine’s Day against UPDF Lady Tomahawks where each recorded eight assists, combining for a season high 16.
Attention then shifts to the men’s game at 9 PM with Sommet BC facing unbeaten RezLife Saints, Live on NBS Sport
Sommet currently holds third position on the log after six games with three wins and three losses. Their previous outing ended in a narrow 61-58 defeat to table leaders Victoria Crocs, a result that ended their recent run of form.
Joseph Chuma leads the Sommet scoring with 77 points at an average of 12.8 per game, while Peter Cheng follows with 68 points at 11.5 per game.
Playmaking duties fall to Andrew Sendawula and Nigerian point guard Emilagba Abolahji Abdulahi, who have produced 17 and 16 assists respectively. The quartet will carry the responsibility of stopping RezLife’s strong start.
RezLife Saints, on the other hand, have produced one of the most dominant openings of the season.
The team has won all five of its opening games against UPDF Tomahawks, KCCA Panthers, Victoria Crocs, UMU Flames, and Kampala Rockets. Their latest victory came on Saturday with a 73-57 win against the Rockets.
The team boasts of the Edrine Ekau – Michael Otieno duo, which has been superb since the start of the season, contributing massively to the unbeaten start.
Ekau leads the scoring with 88 points, averaging 17.6 per game, while Otieno has added 84 points at 16.8 per game, and also leads the team in assists with 25, averaging five per game.
Notably, strong offense and disciplined defense have given RezLife the league’s best goal difference of 70, a record that underlines their early dominance.
Elsewhere in other games of the night, the Jaguars Den in Kira hosts a double header beginning at 7 PM when UPDF Lady Tomahawks take on JT Lady Jaguars, whith the men’s sides following at 9 PM with UPDF Tomahawks facing JT Jaguars.
At ABJA Park in Naalya, Miracle Eaglets meet KCCA Leopards in the women’s game at 7 PM before UMU Flames clash with bottom-placed Namuwongo Blazers in the men’s contest at 9 PM.
