The 2026 Cricket Uganda Men’s 50-Over League enters Matchday Four on Sunday, 22 March with fixtures lined up across the Gold, Silver, and Bronze divisions as teams look to build early momentum.
The standout fixture comes in the Gold category where defending champions Kutchi Tigers take on newly promoted GM Sugar at Lugogo Cricket Oval. Both sides head into the contest on the back of wins, with GM Sugar edging JACC by two wickets while Kutchi defeated Ceylon Lions by four wickets.
GM Sugar will be without Henry Ssenyondo and Simon Ssesazi, who are on national duty with the Cricket Cranes in Namibia, while Kutchi miss Cyrus Kakuru for the same reason. The match will be the first-ever meeting between the two sides.
In the Silver category, Ismaili Community face Kutchi Tigers B at Entebbe Cricket Oval. Ismaili sit top of the Division Two standings with two wins from two, but will be without captain Riazat Ali Sha and Juma Miyaji due to national team commitments. Kutchi Tigers B come into the tie after a dominant 239-run win over St. John’s SS. This will also be the first meeting between the teams.
In Bronze Group A, Centurions take on Tornado at Serenity Oval in Kamengo, with both sides level on four points after back-to-back wins. Tornado could be without wicketkeeper-batter Lawrence Ssematimba due to a hamstring injury, while Centurions may hand a debut to Mustapha Mutwalib.
Bronze Group B action sees Kifaru face Centurions A in Jinja, with Kifaru aiming to recover from a mixed start to the season. Meanwhile, Africa Cricket Club seek their first win against debutants Chennai at Florida Cricket Oval. Chennai have strengthened their squad with the additions of Paul Emetu and Augustine Mujuni, while Africa CC will miss Innocent Evis Akena but retain captain Hajuguju Andrew.
With early table positions beginning to take shape, Sunday’s fixtures offer a chance for frontrunners to consolidate and for others to reignite their campaigns in what is shaping into a competitive start to the domestic season.
