Mauricio Pochettino believes Tottenham Hotspur will avoid relegation despite their perilous position in the Premier League.
The former Spurs boss, now preparing to lead the United States at the World Cup, said his old club has the players and fans to “create the energy to win,” even without a permanent coach.
Tottenham sit one point above the drop zone after 31 games and are winless since December. Roberto De Zerbi is in advanced talks to take over following Igor Tudor’s exit.
Pochettino, who guided Spurs to the 2019 Champions League final, stressed his focus remains on the US national team but added: “Never say never. In football, everything can happen.”
