Former England right back Kieran Trippier will leave Newcastle United at the end of the season when his contract expires, the club confirmed Saturday.
The 35-year-old joined from Atletico Madrid in 2022, helping Newcastle to a League Cup win – their first domestic trophy in 70 years – and a top-four Premier League finish that secured European football.
“This is where I have felt most at home … to win a trophy with you guys was really special, the best of my career,” Trippier said.
Manager Eddie Howe hailed his influence, noting Trippier “helped to drive standards that changed the club’s trajectory.”
