Eddie Howe will stay on as Newcastle head coach after talks with the club’s Saudi leadership.
Despite 16 league defeats and a 13th‑place standing, Howe’s Carabao Cup triumph and Champions League qualifications convinced the hierarchy he remains central to the rebuild.
The summit also tackled the sale of Alexander Isak to Liverpool and failed striker bids, with Howe working alongside Ross Wilson on smarter recruitment.
Newcastle still reached the EFL Cup semi‑finals and Champions League knockouts, and ended a five‑game losing run by beating Brighton 3–1 on Saturday.
“I don’t want to let supporters, players or owners down,” Howe said, stressing his determination to deliver success.
