Resurgence: She Cranes Crush Hosts Namibia – Semifinal Spot in Sight

The She Cranes put on a stellar display of netball skill and strategy, outclassing Namibia with precise passing, tight defensive setups, and clinical finishing in the shooting circle.

From the first whistle, Uganda’s center pass conversions and fluid transitions through midcourt kept the hosts under pressure.

Their defensive unit, led by a rock-solid combination at goal defense (Faridah Kadondi) and goalkeeper (Hanisha Muhammad), consistently forced turnovers, allowing the team to capitalize on rebounds and intercepts.

Meanwhile, the attacking third was seamless, with Irene Eyaru dominating the goal attack position, showcasing perfect shooting accuracy with 22/22.

Through the quarters, Uganda maintained a high shooting percentage, sharp feeds into the circle, and well-timed drives from the wing attack (Joyce Nakibule) and center (Margret Bagala).

Their tactical discipline ensured they extended their lead at every break—15-11 in Q1, 32-23 by halftime, and 44-33 heading into the final quarter.

Namibia’s efforts to close the gap were thwarted by Uganda’s tight marking, brilliant switches on defense, and rapid ball movement down the court.

The She Cranes’ dynamic play and ability to stay composed under pressure set them apart as they stormed to a 55-43 win.

If they maintain this level of execution, their upcoming clash against Eswatini on Thursday should be another strong showing, likely sealing a semifinal spot for Friday.

Here’s how the She Cranes’ lineup
