Kitara secured their fourth victory of the Uganda Premier League season, convincingly defeating Maroons 4-0 at Luzira on Matchday 12.
The visitors were a force to be reckoned with from the outset. Fred Amaku opened the scoring in the 10th minute, followed swiftly by Ronaldo Otti just a minute later to give Kitara a commanding early lead.
Jude Ssemugabi added a third goal in the 30th minute, ensuring a comfortable halftime advantage.
Maroons attempted a comeback in the second half, but missed several clear-cut opportunities, including a shot from Bashir Mutanda that sailed over the bar with the goalkeeper beaten.
Despite their efforts, Maroons were unable to breach the Kitara defense.
Ssemugabi sealed the deal for Kitara in the third minute of added time, completing the 4-0 rout.
This resounding victory propels Kitara to 14 points, solidifying their position in 10th place on the league table. Maroons, on the other hand, remain stagnant at 16 points, occupying the 7th spot.
