Kitara FC missed out on an opportunity to stretch their lead at the top of the FUFA Big League standings as they were held to a 2-2 draw away to Ndejje University on Thursday.
With second placed Mbarara City losing to Kyetume FC, Kitara had a chance to build a five-point gap at the top but could not get the job done at the Arena of Visions.
Moses Sseruyidde and Edson Agondeze scored a goal each for Kitara while Norman Ndyamuhaki and Brian Obedi struck for the University side.
Kitara remain top of the log on 47 to points, three ahead of Mbarara City and NEC.
In the other games played, Police FC were 5-2 winners over Luweero United at Kavumba Recreation Ground, NEC FC won 3-1 against Kaaro Karungi, Lugazi FC obliterated bottom placed Northern Gateway FC 7-1, Kyetume stunned Mbarara City 2-0, Calvary secured a 2-1 win over Soroti City while Kataka earned a 4-2 win against Adjumani TC.
The FUFA Big League resumes on Friday with Jinja North taking on Booma FC at the Kyabazinga stadium in Jinja.
The top three sides will be promoted to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League at the end of the season.
