With the 2025 Masaza Cup season fast approaching, teams are making strategic moves in their coaching and player setups.
Several key appointments have already been confirmed across the competition as squads seek to bolster their chances in the prestigious tournament.
Buvuma, aiming to improve on last season’s early exit, have appointed former Police goalkeeping coach Kalama Ben as their new shot-stopper specialist, replacing Bukenya Michael.
Ben brings a wealth of experience, having worked with Gomba, Buwekula, and other Masaza sides in the past.
Record winners Gomba have secured the services of Simon Ddungu, as their new head coach, while reigning champions Buddu will be led by Eric Kisuze as they seek to defend their crown.
Elsewhere, Busiro confirmed Paul Kiwanuka as their coach, while Bugerere is expected to announce Michael Skills Lukyamuzi.
Kyaggwe will unveil Simone Peter Mugerwa, while Kooki is set to confirm Fred Kasekedde as their new tactician.
Buddu enters the tournament as defending champions, having secured their latest title with a 1-0 victory over Kyaggwe at Namboole, courtesy of Mike Walaga’s match-winning strike.
The much-anticipated 2025 Masaza Cup is scheduled to kick off on June 21, 2025, with teams eager to stake their claim for glory.
