Prince Nakibinge Wants More Participation in UMEA Games

Buganda Kingdom Prince Kassim Nakibinge has encouraged more Muslim based schools to participate in the annual Uganda Muslim Education Association (UMEA) Games.

Nakibinge, who is also the games’ patron, presided over this year’s edition that attracted 49 schools at Namagabi Secondary School in Kayunga.

“I believe that all other schools will always participate in these games so that we breed this culture of togetherness,” he said.

Gombe SS were declared overall winners having scooped four gold medals; two in chess and two in handball respectively.

Prince Kassim Nakibinge inspects netball teams before action at the 2025 edition in Kayunga

Masaka SS and Kawempe Muslim defended their football title for the Boys and Girls respectively.

The other respective winners include: Gombe SS in both girls and boys chess, Kawanda SS in both girls and boys scrabble, Kibuli SS in table tennis both girls and boys, Mbogo High and Kibuli ss in girls and boys badminton respectively, Gombe SS in both boys and girls handball, Kinaawa High and Mbogo Mixed in girls and boys volleyball respectively as well as Greenlight Islamic who were netball champions.
