The Uganda Table Tennis Association (UTTA) has announced the commencement of a review of its constitution, inviting all member clubs and stakeholders to participate in the amendment process.
The review is aimed at aligning the UTTA’s governing document with the recently enacted National Sports Regulations, 2025, and the National Sports Act, 2023.
In a statement released by the association, officials emphasized that this alignment is essential for the continued growth and effective governance of table tennis in Uganda.
Beyond compliance, the UTTA stated that the process will also focus on enhancing other sections of the constitution to ensure it remains dynamic and not solely restricted to the provisions of the Sports Act and Regulations.
In a letter to its members, the association highlighted the critical role of member participation in shaping a stronger and more relevant constitution. UTTA called on all stakeholders to submit clear and justified proposals for amendments, additions, or subtractions to the current document.
Members have been asked to send their submissions to the UTTA Executive Board and UTTA Secretariat by midnight on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Submissions can be made via email to the addresses provided in the official communication.
Following the conclusion of the constitutional review process, the UTTA will release the roadmap for its upcoming elections.
