Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner is urging caution despite the club’s historic FA Cup win and subsequent Europa League qualification.
Following their shock 1-0 victory over Manchester City, which secured their first major trophy and a European spot, chairman Steve Parish pledged to strengthen the squad.
However, Glasner, speaking ahead of their Premier League game against Wolves, emphasized the importance of sustainable growth.
“This club always progressed,” he stated, warning against a “crazy spending spree” that could lead to collapse.
While acknowledging the draw of European football for attracting higher-calibre players, Glasner stressed that Palace would stick to its established pathway, aiming for “step-by-step” progress rather than a “one-hit wonder” approach.
