FUFA Super League Limited (FSLL), the body responsible for managing the Uganda Premier League (UPL) on behalf of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA), has appointed Eric Eron Owori as the acting league manager, following the resignation of long-serving administrator Paul Kabaikaramu.
Kabaikaramu officially concluded his tenure on June 30, 2025, bringing to a close nearly 15 years of dedicated service at the helm of Uganda’s top-flight football league.
Widely respected for his professionalism and leadership, Kabaikaramu played a crucial role in streamlining the league’s competitions management, significantly contributing to its operational efficiency and structural development.
In a statement, FSLL extended heartfelt appreciation to Kabaikaramu, praising his integrity and commitment, and acknowledged his influence in shaping the league into a more organized and professional competition.
The Board and Secretariat also wished him continued success in his future endeavours.
Effective July 1, 2025, Eric Owori has taken over in an acting capacity. A seasoned league statistician who has worked closely with Kabaikaramu for over 12 years, Owori brings a wealth of institutional knowledge and operational experience to the role.
In his remarks following the appointment, Owori expressed gratitude to the FSLL Board, Chief Executive Officer, and all stakeholders for the trust placed in him.
“After 12+ years as League Statistician, I’m ready to embrace this next challenge,” Owori said. “I am grateful to the Uganda Premier League Board, the CEO and all stakeholders for their confidence.”
FSLL reaffirmed its commitment to the growth and professional management of the Uganda Premier League and expressed confidence that Owori will provide effective stewardship during this transition period.
