Breaking News: Liverpool Star Diogo Jota Dies in Car Accident – Reports

Liverpool forward Diogo Jota, 28, has tragically died in a car crash in Spain, just two weeks after his wedding.

His 26-year-old brother, Andre, also perished in the accident on the A-52 in Zamora.

Portuguese media first reported the news, which was later confirmed by regional emergency services.

A statement detailed that a car was involved in an accident and subsequently caught fire. Emergency responders pronounced both individuals dead at the scene.

Jota, who married Rute Cardoso in Porto on June 22, 2025, was a vital player for Liverpool since joining in 2020.

His untimely death has sent shockwaves through the football community, prompting an outpouring of tributes worldwide.
