Marc Marquez is on the verge of securing his seventh MotoGP title after a commanding victory at the San Marino Grand Prix on September 14, 2025.
The win, his 11th of the season and 99th career victory, propelled the Ducati rider to a record-breaking 512 points, establishing a formidable 182-point lead with just six races remaining.
Marquez now has the opportunity to clinch the championship at the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix, which would see him tie the legendary Valentino Rossi’s title count.
Starting from fourth on the grid, the 32-year-old Spaniard quickly moved past Fabio Quartararo and his brother Alex Marquez.
He then overtook Marco Bezzecchi on lap 12, successfully navigating the same section of the track where he had skidded off during the previous day’s sprint race.
Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi finished in second place, with Gresini Racing’s Alex Marquez rounding out the podium in third.
