KCB Bank Uganda has rolled out the Kenya Day KCB Golf Tournament as part of the build up to Kenya’s Jamhuri Day celebrations.
The event will be played on Saturday at Uganda Golf Club and has drawn more than 200 golfers from across the region.
The field will include athletes, business leaders, diplomats and long time supporters of the sport, turning the tournament into both a competitive outing and a showcase of regional cooperation.
KCB Bank Uganda Head of Marketing and Communication Noela Byuma said the bank remains committed to backing events that promote talent development and community progress.
Kenya’s High Commissioner to Uganda, Joash Arthur Maangi, noted that sport continues to play a strong role in strengthening ties across the East African Community.
Uganda Golf Club Captain Charles Rukundo welcomed the players and pointed to the long standing sporting relationship between the two countries.
The tournament will run men’s, women’s and senior categories, with trophies set for the leading performers at what has become one of the region’s notable golf fixtures.
