Mikkel Damsgaard struck a 93rd-minute winner to hand Brentford a dramatic 4-3 victory over relegation-threatened Burnley at Turf Moor.
The Bees appeared to be cruising toward a comfortable away win after goals from Damsgaard, Igor Thiago, and Kevin Schade put them 3-0 up within 34 minutes.
However, a spirited Burnley fightback—aided by a Michael Kayode own goal and strikes from Jaidon Anthony and Zian Flemming—saw the hosts incredibly draw level by the hour mark.
The drama intensified in the closing stages when Flemming had a potential winner ruled out by VAR for offside.
Damsgaard then clinicaly restored Brentford’s lead in stoppage time, before Ashley Barnes saw a 99th-minute equalizer chalked off for handball following another lengthy VAR check.
The victory bolsters Keith Andrews’ side’s push for European football, leaving them seventh in the table. Meanwhile, Burnley remain 19th, five points adrift of safety despite their resilient second-half display.
