Floyd Mayweather will face Greek kickboxing legend Mike Zambidis in an exhibition bout this June in Athens.
The fight serves as a high-profile warm-up for Mayweather’s professional return against Manny Pacquiao on September 19 at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
Mayweather, 49, recently announced his fourth comeback from retirement. He hasn’t fought professionally since defeating Conor McGregor in 2017, though he has participated in eight exhibition matches since.
“Athens, Greece, get ready,” Mayweather posted on Instagram. “This summer will be a legendary battle.”
His opponent, 45-year-old “Iron” Mike Zambidis, brings a formidable kickboxing record of 157-24 with 87 KOs.
While Zambidis hasn’t fought since 2015, the bout offers Mayweather a competitive test before his Netflix-broadcasted rematch with the 47-year-old Pacquiao—a sequel to their record-breaking 2015 “Fight of the Century.”
