Corporate boxing is fast becoming a fixture on Uganda’s sporting calendar, drawing bigger crowds and more participants with each passing event.
The sport has carved out a niche by bringing professionals into the ring, mixing competition with entertainment in a way that resonates with fans.
This weekend, all eyes turn to Kasanga as Shakib Lutaya faces Barista Timo at the International University of East Africa. Both fighters have talked up their preparations and confidence ahead of the bout.
“I’ve put in the work and I’m ready for this fight. I’m coming in focused and determined to win,” Lutaya said, promising fans an exciting contest.
Timo, equally bullish, noted: “Preparation has been intense, and I feel ready for the challenge ahead. Lutaya is a strong opponent, but I believe in my ability to get the job done. Everyone watching should expect action—I’m coming to fight and entertain.”
The clash will be broadcast live on NBS Sport and AfroMobile, giving fans across the country a front-row seat to what is shaping up as one of the standout corporate boxing events of the year.
