Pep Guardiola quit Manchester City after 10 years and 17 trophies, with chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak admitting this time the Spaniard “actually meant it.”
Guardiola, 55, had a year left on his deal but said the club needed “new energy.” Khaldoon revealed he had persuaded him to stay many times before, joking Pep had “quit 100 times” in the past.
