NBS Sport TV presenter and analyst Brian Tuka has earned a major regional broadcasting role after being selected as part of the panel of football analysts for Tanzania-based broadcaster Azam TV during the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
Azam TV is set to broadcast all 104 matches of the expanded global tournament, with Tuka joining a team of leading football analysts from across East Africa to provide expert match analysis, tactical breakdowns and commentary throughout the competition.
The appointment marks another significant milestone in Tuka’s growing broadcasting career. Known to viewers as the host of NBS Sport This Morning and The Rebound, he has built a reputation as one of Uganda’s most recognisable sports analysts, earning praise for his detailed football knowledge, strong opinions and engaging on-air presence.
For the duration of the tournament, Tuka will be based in Tanzania, where he will take part in Azam TV’s studio coverage alongside fellow analysts drawn from across the region.
His inclusion on the panel highlights the growing recognition of Ugandan sports broadcasting talent on the continental stage and provides an opportunity for him to showcase his expertise to a wider audience during one of football’s biggest events.
Tuka is expected to make his first appearance on Azam TV’s World Cup coverage during the tournament’s opening match on Thursday, when Mexico face South Africa in the curtain-raiser.
The FIFA World Cup gets underway tomorrow, with broadcasters across the globe preparing extensive coverage of the month-long spectacle, and Tuka will now be among the East African voices helping viewers make sense of the action.
