The New York Knicks captured their first NBA crown since 1973, beating the San Antonio Spurs 94-90 to clinch the Finals 4-1.
Jalen Brunson delivered a franchise-record 45 points, including 15 in the final quarter, to seal the comeback after New York trailed by 16. His performance earned unanimous Finals MVP honors.
Josh Hart, OG Anunoby, and Mikal Bridges added key points late, while the Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama posted 19 points and 14 rebounds but admitted costly mistakes. Rookie Dylan Harper led San Antonio with 25 off the bench.
The Knicks overturned double-digit deficits in all four wins, including a record 29-point rally in Game Four, to secure their third championship.
