The Uganda senior women cricket team will enter residential camp on Thursday in Entebbe as they step up preparations for the upcoming T20 Women’s Global Qualifiers in Abu Dhabi.
The Victoria Pearls, who are currently undergoing non-residential training in Lugogo will depart for Abu Dhabi on April 19th before starting their campaign against Scotland on April 25th at Tolerance Oval and then a showdown with the USA on April 27th at Zayed Cricket Stadium.
They will return to the Tolerance Oval on April 29th as they take on Thailand before their final group stage match against Sri Lanka on May 1st at Zayed Cricket Stadium. Uganda seeks one of the only two available tickets to the 2024 T20 Women’s World Cup in Bangladesh –which will be the first time the Victoria pearls appear at this global showpiece.
