Red Bull has made a significant move into English football by acquiring a minority stake in Leeds United Football Club and securing the position of principal shirt sponsor for the upcoming season.
The global soft drink company’s investment further diversifies its extensive portfolio of football clubs and marks an important milestone for Leeds United.
Under the agreement, Red Bull’s logo will prominently adorn the front of both the men’s and women’s first-team kits. However, the club’s name and iconic Elland Road stadium will remain unchanged, preserving Leeds United’s rich identity and heritage.
Speaking about the partnership, Leeds United chairman Paraag Marathe emphasized the shared vision between the club and Red Bull, highlighting the potential for the collaboration to propel Leeds United towards greater competitive success.
Red Bull’s involvement with Leeds United adds to its already impressive football portfolio, which includes RB Leipzig, Red Bull Salzburg, New York Red Bulls, RB Bragantino, and RB Brazil.
Oliver Mintzlaff, Red Bull’s chief executive of corporate projects and investments, praised Leeds United’s stature in English football and affirmed Red Bull’s commitment to supporting the club’s ambitions, particularly its goal of returning to the Premier League.
